We’re approaching a time change in creation’s rhythm soon.

Recently, our clocks sprung forward and we gained a few extra hours of the sun. But what’s happening with the moon in the upcoming month? There’s an important time-change about to happen Biblically. Are you ready for it?

Here’s where we’re at on the Biblical calendar.

On the Biblical calendar, we are currently half way through month #12 with last night’s (March 9th 2020) full moon.

The 12th month on the Biblical calendar is considered to be the most joyous month of the year. Right in the middle of it is a memorial day called Purim celebrating when God brought relief and deliverance to the Jewish people in ancient Persia from Haman’s plot “to destroy, slay and annihilate all the Jews…” as recorded in the book of Esther. They tried to kill us, we won, let’s eat!

Freedom at the Next Full Moon

But another reason why it’s the most joyous time of the year is because we know that freedom is coming at Passover, the next full moon.

These are the appointed feasts of ADONAI, holy convocations which you are to proclaim in their appointed season. During the first month, on the fourteenth day of the month in the evening, is ADONAI’s Passover.

Leviticus 23:4-5 TLV

Fourteen days after the first of the month is the full moon.

There’s exactly one month in between Purim and Passover. But when’s the first month? This next New Moon.

Are you noticing creation’s rhythm?

New Life at the Next New Moon

This next specific New Moon, referred to as Rosh Chodashim (The Head of Months) is the Bible’s “New Year”.

It’s literally month #1 on the Biblical Calendar. It’ll be the start of a new year and a new season: Seed Time.

Fourteen days later, during the Full Moon, is Passover. If you need help visualizing this, please refer to my Bible clock up above!

One Month to Prepare for Passover

Weeks before Passover begins, we start searching our homes and our hearts for chametz (Leaven). This process means searching every room, cleaning and vacuuming the entire home, making sure you either eat or give away any items that contain chametz before the day of Passover.

Sounds a lot like Spring Cleaning, doesn’t it? Of both home and soul.

We need to lift rugs, clean hard to reach corners, pick up the curtains and blinds, move furniture and put our lives in clean order.

And starting today, you have exactly one month to get this done.

So count it all joy, brothers and sisters – and know that freedom and a brand new season is on its way.

Chag sameach, friends.🎭

P.S. Here’s my favorite cleaning product.
